Tiggers is an unincorporated, non-profit registered charity.
While Clare Clarke-Jones (the supervisor) is responsible for the day-to-day running of Tiggers’ sessions, the Committee is responsible for managing Tiggers in broadly the same way as a board of directors runs a company. It makes strategic and financial decisions as to how Tiggers operates.
There is an Annual General Meeting every year during the Autumn term and all parents are encouraged to attend to find out how they can help and support us. We appreciate that most parents do not have huge amounts of free time but it can be a very rewarding experience and without a dedicated committee Tiggers would not be able to continue.
Parents can help by:
- becoming a member of the Committee
- offering specific skills (e.g. HR, accountancy etc.) on an ad hoc basis
- assisting with the organisation of fundraising events
- attending fundraising events
- coming into Tiggers sessions as a parents helper
- donating fruit and other healthy snacks for the children
Please speak to Karen Evans or Amanda Fieldhouse or email email@example.com to find out how you can help or if you would like to see a copy of the constitution which governs how Tiggers is managed.
It is the people who work at the Nursery who make it a special place, with their enthusiasm and love for what they do.
