Our experienced and caring team helps to make Tiggers Preschool an ongoing success. All our practitioners are trained in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Protection procedures.
I am also Designated Child Protection, Behaviour Management and Health & Safety Officer. I have NVQ Level 3 in Child Learning & development and Health & Safety in the work place. I started working in Early Years setting 12 years ago.
I am also Parent Liaison, Deputy Child Protection Officer and Health & Safety Officer. I have a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Preschool Practice and Health & Safety in the Work Place. In 2004 I started working as an Early Years Educator, having been on the committee of a preschool.
I have an NNEB (equivalent to Level 3 Diploma in Childcare). In total I possess 15 years experience looking after children, both in Nursery and home settings.
I am currently studying for my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare. I began working in Early Years by volunteering at my daughter's school and have been with Tiggers since 2014.
DEPUTY CHILD PROTECTION OFFICER
I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare. I started in Child Care as a Nanny and went on to create a playgroup run by mums; this became Tiggers Preschool.
KITCHEN ASSISTANT / ADMIN
I prepare all the snacks for the children and also carry out admin duties on behalf of the supervisor. Before working at Tiggers Preschool I was a nurse.
I have a BTEC National Diploma in Caring (Nursery Nursing) and for the past 20 years I have worked as a private Nanny.
During any session, at least half of our staff, including the supervisor, are fully qualified i.e. hold an NVQ level 3 in child care. Ofsted require a ratio of one adult to every eight children aged 3-5 years, with a ratio of one to four for children aged 2-3 years. This means Tiggers is required to have five staff for thirty two children, but we believe that your child benefits from a higher level of adult input and offer five members of staff working with a maximum of twenty six children.
Staff checks, qualifications & training
- All staff members have an enhanced CRB check.
- In the event that the supervisor is absent, the Deputy Supervisor will step in.
- Our members of staff attend training sessions arranged by SureStart and the Early Years Partnership in order to keep up to date with their skills.
- At Tiggers, we continually strive to improve the care we provide.
